I never did dine in when I stopped on my road trip but I enjoyed the experience nonetheless. I ordered a simple breakfast sandwich and it was very good. The staff was friendly and courteous. Hopefully I will dine in on my next stop. May 24 2025- I finally had the chance to drop in and have a sit down breakfast. I ordered the Herb’s giant breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. The service was friendly too.
First time at Herb's. It's a truck stop restaurant large portions. I had a double hamburger 18.99. it was worth it. My girlfriend had the white chicken breast poutine. She could not finish it. It's a fun slice of canadiana. If you're on your way from Montreal to Ottawa, you have to stop here. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms were clean. I definitely would go back if I'm in the area
Super friendly staff and comforting homemade food served in generous portions. This truck stop is one of the only few place were to get decent food between Montreal and Ottawa. It’s very family friendly and there’s an old airstrip outside with old planes for the kids to play. My son had a blast there!
What a great spot. Close your eyes and imagine an old school truck stop with a warm atmosphere and interesting clientele. Now open your eyes and stop here! Why just imagine what your mind wants - make the experience a reality with a visit today. I can highly recommend you try the pop curds ... they make a great appetizer, but enjoy them quick because before you know it, your order will be ready! My cheeseburger with fries was great. Sure it is not a fancy burger restaurant, so be realistic with your expectations and I am sure that you will be satisfied. As one might expect, they have a nice selection of desserts ranging from different choices of pie and cake slices to simple jello for the kids.
Excellent restaurant; they serve everything at all hours. Ordered pasta and chicken parm with garlic bread at 9am, it was available and delicious. The traditional breakfast is excellent as well. Lots of options for big to healthy appetite. Busy restaurant but efficient and friendly service.
The food is SO GOOD here!! Pizza was amazing and the onion ring poutine was fantastic. Amazing and friendly service from everyone! We will definitely be back to try some more items from the menu!
Very clean, friendly, fast, and hearty. This was our first time dining-in at the restaurant, and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend the Herb's 4-Decker club sandwich platter - it was two meals for me! Herb's is a regular stop en-route between Ottawa and Montreal, as we can always rely on clean washrooms, good road snacks, and friendly service.
